Humberstone raises money for charity "The Bridge"

Humberstone Academy donates vital supplies and a cheque to local charity "The Bridge"

In todays assembly the students met David from the charity "The Bridge".

The charity helps the homeless and people in need and offers them breakfast, clean clothes, showers, and many more things that many of us take for granted.

Our students made an amazing donation to the Bridge by bringing in boxes filled with useful items.

Items such as shower gel, toothpaste, hats and gloves, and much more.
These vital boxes were distributed over the Christmas period and made a big difference to people’s lives.

On the last day of term we had a non-uniform day and raised £500 for the charity.

Today David told us all about how the money is spent and how it is helping so many people in Leicester. Our students handed over a cheque in assembly.
