How to access Google Classroom

Google Classroom can be accessed from any Web Browser, or by using the Google Classroom app available on the Apple or Android app store.

If using the app, once it is installed, jump to step 3.

Accessing the site from your browser:

1. Open up your web browser and go to: www.google.com/classroom We recommend using Google Chrome for the best Google Classroom functionality.

NOTE: If you currently have your own Google Account or Gmail account, you will need to be signed out of that account.

2. Click the Sign in button in the top corner of the page to sign into “Google Classroom”.

3. You will need to enter your login details.

The email address will be the first letter of your child’s first name, followed by their surname, and then one of the following endings below depending on the year your child is in:

F1: 22@humberstoneacademy.co.uk

F2: 21@@humberstoneacademy.co.uk

Year1: 20@humberstoneacademy.co.uk

Year4: 17@humberstoneacademy.co.uk

Frequently asked questions

Q: What is the best device to use for Google classroom?

A: We reccomend using either a laptop, desktop computer, or a tablet for accessing Google Classroom.

The device should have a built in webcam and microphone so that your child can take part in the live learning meetings.

If using a tablet or other handheld device then using the Google Classroom app available from your app store will make things a lot easier to use.

A laptop is the best device to use for completing written assignments where you need to type.
