At Humberstone Junior Academy ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our students is a top priority.
Our School Staff are committed to providing a safe place for children to learn, develop confidence, and reach their full potential.
We have rigorous policies and procedures in place for safeguarding and staff receive regular training and updates.
Our school sites are well secured and our children tell us they feel safe whilst on site. Members of staff are at the gates in the morning and at home time to help ensure the safety of children as they arrive and leave the school.
Each school has a dedicated group of Mental Health Firstaiders as well as a Senior Mental Health Lead and children know who they are and how to ask for help.
Our School Counsellor is also available and can offer help and support.
Our Designated Safeguarding Leads:
– Krishna Jethva (SENDCo)
– Annemarie Williams (Executiuve Head)
– Tamby Burton (Services manger)
